Profiles and Extensions

Profiles

This implementation Guide uses two profiles:

MasterPatient

The Master Patient Profile is based on the US Core 3.1.1 with an extension for geolocation at the Address Element level. US Core 3.1.1 has been chosen as the base from which the MasterPatient profile will be derived since it will provide optimal compatibility with data sources coming from ONC Certified Product List components, such as EMRs.

MPIProvenance

This record is used to identify the organizations referred to in the pricing record. This may be the authoring organization or a named provider or insurer.

Extensions

The MasterPatient profile adds a series of extensions to present:

  • Geolocation of Address.
  • MPI Record Match Status
